Meaning of Public Key

It is the part of cryptographic key which is used to encrypt information before passing it into the Blockchain to limit access to only the person with it private key pair.

It also at times serves as the receiving address (like your bank account number) on some crypto Blockchain.

Example: In cryptography, a public key is a cryptographic key that can be utilized by any party to encrypt a message. Another party can then receive the message and using a Private key that is only known to that individual or group to decode and access the content of the message. See Cryptography.
